Are you keeping clear records of your child's academic history and accomplishments?
There will likely be times when you or your students will need records showing their academic history and accomplishments. What would happen if clear and complete records were not available?
It would be frustrating, difficult, and time-consuming to try to create records years later, and many details may be forgotten.
All homeschooled children deserve full credit for their academic accomplishments. Nobody should miss out on opportunities simply because clear and organized records were not maintained.
That's Why We Created Homeschool Data Bank
Homeschool Data Bank was created by homeschoolers for homeschoolers. Our goal? Make it easy for homeschooling parents and educators to keep academic records for their students.
We understand homeschoolers appreciate the flexibility that a homeschooling lifestyle affords. And we understand homeschoolers generally like to avoid unnecessary formalities. That's why we built Homeschool Data Bank to preserve the bare minimum in terms of academic records - just enough to ensure the important accomplishments and meaningful academic progress is preserved. But we also accommodate those who wish to record additional details that may be useful someday.
Academic records don't need to look like this.

We offer a better way.

You can use a cell phone, tablet, or full-size computer to access Homeschool Data Bank. There is no app to install. Just go to our website.
Set Them Up For Success
Your children deserve every opportunity for success in life.
- This is why you home school.
- This is why you take the time to carefully select curriculum.
- This is why you find resources, support from like-minded parents, and plan for their future.
At some point (frequently when applying to university, or other school) they will need to show a well-organized history of all they have accomplished during their homeschool years.
That's where Homeschool Data Bank helps.
Simple Yet Complete
Homeschool Data Bank provides the minimal record-keeping features needed by homeschoolers to satisfy most state requirements for academic record-keeping
How it Works
Homeschool Data Bank guides you through these activities:
1. Initial Setup
Estimated time: 15-20 minutes per student.
These tasks should be completed for the beginning of each semester.
- Specify student's grade level: Grade levels supported include K-12.
- Enter list of classes: This is the course of study in which the student is enrolled for the current semester.
- For each class enter textbook or other academic materials: This is where you specify the curriculum in use. You can also enter an optional course descriptions to record how the course is to be completed, specific academic emphasis, or any other aspects you want to describe.
2. Monthly Updates
Estimated time: 10 minutes per student each month.
These activities are to be completed during each month of the current semester.
- Record Attendance: We provide a calendar where you can point-n-click to indicate which days were school days, sick days, or vacation days.
- Enter Monthly Evaluations: At the end of each month you are prompted to record progress per class, academic accomplishments, extracurricular activities, and field trips.
3. End-of-Semester Activities
Estimated time: 15-20 minutes per student.
The following activities should be completed for each student for the end of each semester.
- Enter Final Grades: Enter the final grade earned for each class.
- Upload Student Work Samples: Upload one or more student work samples that are representative of the student's level of competency.
- Get Report Cards and Other Reports: Report cards become available as soon as the final grades are entered for each course. You should download and optionally print reports showing course of study, attendance, and student work samples.
Report cards for high school students include total grade points earned and grade point average (GPA).
Report cards for elementary students include the following outcomes per class: Outstanding, Satisfactory, and Needs Improvement. The Pass/Fail results are available depending on how the class is defined.
Step-by-Step Guidance
Homeschool Data Bank always shows you what to do next.
Homeschool Data Bank keeps track of your record keeping progress for each student throughout each semester, and tells you exactly what you should do next, every step of the way.
For each student we show a checklist that automatically updates to show which record-keeping tasks are completed and which is next. Each task in the checklist has a link to the page where you can complete the task.
Each administrative page has instructions that provide you with helpful information and perspective so you can understand everything you are seeing on screen.
